The Grand Palais in Paris hosts "Dynamo - A century of light and motion in art" from April 10 to July 22 and describes the evolution of the concept of space and light from 1913 to 2013. The exhibition is divided into two distincted areas : "Vision" and "Space", divided into sixteen sub-sections which each have different aspects and phenomena.

Immateriality, monochrome, diving, interference and distortion are just some of the aspects of light that proposed artists have tried to capture in their works. Real sensorial show that trace the history of an artistic movement borns from Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, and others, who first translated this immaterial essence in paintings, sculptures and films.

One hundred and seventy artists including Ann Veronica Janssens, Anish Kapoor, John Armleder, Carsten Höller and Xavier Veilhan compared on the same theme. A continuous dialogue between different artistic movements and artists more or less known, lived back in time, to discover the beginnings of the relationship between light and space.
