Bettina Rehims was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1952 and in 1980, after working as a model, journalist and art dealer, decided to devote himself exclusively to photography.
The Rehims' artworks, from the series dedicated to Pigalle strippers to advertisements shot for Chanel, are bold and provocative. The mix of eroticism and imperfections reconstructs the image of a modern woman and emancipated, hardly attributable to social and gender stereotypes.
