The Altis Belem Lisbon is a hotel that in a single structure allows you to take a illusory journey from Mauritania, on the west coast of Africa, through Arabia, India, Siam, Osaka and to the other side of the world through Brazil. The theme of the discovery crosses all fifty rooms of which it is composed, a series of illustrated panels made specifically for each one recreates specially designed atmospheres.
The project, implemented by the interior designer of the study FSSMGN Lisbon and architects Manuel Salgado, Joao Almeida and Tomás Salgado of the study Risco, ultra modern inside and sophisticated outside, represents a contemporary vision of the Golden Age of Discovery through a unique personality.
The hotel located on the seafront, to the east of Dock Bom Sucesso, port of the Portuguese city, and in front of the Belém Cultural Centre, is designed rectangular in shape to not constitute a visual obstacle along the axis between the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries.
