The concrete and steel, rigid materials by definition, are sinuously shaped to give a futuristic look to the particular structure of the Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton. The project by Rudy Ricciotti occupies a privileged position and is a point of connection between the urban city and the seafront.
The internal structure of the museum is constituted by a large prism of glass and steel coated with a white cement structure that opens in fringes on all sides leaving traspirare the light and allowing visual stunning of intense blue that characterizes the sky and the sea of French Riviera.
The museum is the first and most important worldwide public resource about the artist Jean Cocteau. Includes about 2,000 works, like paintings, watercolors, tapestries and mosaics demonstrating the multifaceted talent of artist, many of which belong to a donation from the private collection of Severin Wunderman, protagonist of the world of high fashion and friend of Cocteau.
