The retrospective exhibition traces the career of the artist following, as the title suggests, a light path through four emblematic expression of his research.
Studies of Nanda Vigo begin in the 60s with the search for a continuous renewal away from the stereotypes that gives life to the Chronotopes, now on display at New York in Guggennheim shows ZERO: Countdown to Tomorrow 1950-1960. The 80 represent a period of transition, but at the same time a central pillar of the career of Nanda Vigo, which gives expression to the vitality in a blend of technology and poetry with Light Trees.
The 90s are marked by the creation of Light Progression that reflect the chronotopic principles reconnecting them to the symbolism of the signs and to an intensive study on the light. Finally, the Deep Space, works from the sky representing the immateriality of space stellar.
The originality and the exemplary nature of the works of Nanda Vigo have influenced an entire generation of artists and designers. The artist's aim is to try to overcome the technological contingencies, enhancing the space and the immateriality through the play of light and reflections and with the continued exploration and experimentation of new ways.
