Light Show is an exhibition show exposed at the Hayward Gallery in London until April 28th. Neon and light bulbs are the basis of the compositions of international artists. The light is used to investigate the effects of visual and sensorial and to realize contrasting atmospheres. The works attract and establish a relationship of interaction with the viewer.
Light Show includes two pioneering and fluorescent sculptures by Dan Flaving; Monument, a column written by Jenny Holzer formed with LED; immersive installations as Carlos Cruz-Diez's, Anthony McCall's and Ann Veronica Janssens's and many other works that have influenced the artistic use of lights from the 50s to today, some recreated specifically to be exhibited at the Hayward Gallery.
