Gallery Main, Main Hyundai, Shinsegae and Hyundai Main Daegu in Seoul and The Landmark in Hong Kong are the reference addresses in which have been set up the shop-installation designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for Neil Barrett. The projects, carried out in the five shop-in-shop, is based on a sculptural concept of sixteen pieces that can be separated, like the pieces of a puzzle, to fit the size of the place and different positions.
The concept echoes the geometries of the flagship store in Tokyo: surfaces, twists and curvatures were amplified to accommodate double wave movements that constitute the central theme, the thought, developed in minimalist way, is the interaction between male and female. The sculptures propose a distribution of stores area, but it does not create rooms but a fluid path for the customers inside it.
