From April 6 to 26, the space Ersel of Turin hosts the exhibition "Eleganza e femminilità attraverso l'obiettivo". Forty photos taken by Giovanni Gastel that for more than thirty years worked with the most important fashion magazines in Italy and abroad, especially in France.
The exhibition collects some of the most famous shots of the photographer, colored and in black and white, telling his artistic career and his relationship with femininity. The combination of elegance, fashion and formal research typical of Gastel is brought out to tell trials conducted from 80's to today.
The faces of the young Naomi Campbell, Monica Bellucci, Linda Evangelista, Lynn Kostner are collected in about twenty medium and large photos of fine art and the same number of polaroid testifying to the respect for the elegance that Gastel was able to combine to irony and surrealism, making the fashion at times almost dreamlike and thin.
