The Palazzo Blu in Pisa, from 12 October 2013 to 2 February 2014, as part of the project in collaboration with Gamm Giunti, dedicated to the story of the art of the most influential masters of the 900, is hosting the exhibition "Andy Warhol, an American story ". The exhibition aims to trace the entire career of the founding father of pop art.
The exposure of about one hundred and fifty works, including fifty Polaroid, it is made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburg, some European museums as the Berardo in Lisbon, the MUMOK in Vienna and other private collections such as Unicredit and Lucio Amelio .
The exhibition, curated by Walter Guadagnini and Claudia Beltramo Ceppi, offers to visitors a division of the career of Warhol by theme. Among the works on the Brillo Box, the Campbell Soup, portraits of Liz Taylor, Mick Jagger and Mao, rare portfolio dedicated to Marilyn and some series as Knifes, a witness to the evolution in the style of the artist from photo, passing through the sketch to arrive, at last, the works on canvas.
