From September 26 to January 6 2014, the Palazzo delle Stelline of Milan hosts, for the first time, an exhibition dedicated to the artist Josef Albers. The exposure titled "Sublime Optics" brought after more than eighty years of absence, the works of Albers in the city of Milan; will also be joined by a second exposure in the Napoleonic Room of the Academy of Brera where some lessons on the Bauhaus held by the artist in some of the most prestigious universities in the world will be read-back.

The artist, modernist and member of the Bauhaus, combines art with his strong religiosity, making its attachment to the Catholic faith an essential component of his works. The stretch and the color transformation are interpreted as spiritual events, almost of mystical nature.

The exhibition at the Palazzo delle Stelline shows to visitors 78 works from the early years of artistic career of Alberts until his last job Homage to the Square. The early drawings, stained glass and sandblasted and selection of abstract paintings showcasing the artist's conviction that the application of artistic talent with dedication is means of transformation of everyday reality into something miraculous.
