The Amass Restaurant opened its doors by the will of of the famous chef Matthew Orlando and is the result of the full restoration of the former shipyard Burmeister & Wain of Copenhagen. The interior design was made by the GUBI studio, led by Sofie Brunner.

The whole ambience was designed as a large open space in accordance with the philosophy of the chef Orlando who thinks that customers should be able to observe the entire process of preparation of the dishes. The sense of continuity and fluidity created by the absence of obstacles to the eye, also contributes to informality of the atmosphere.

The material used is primarily the cement that takes advantage of shades of black and gray placed in contrast with glimpses depicting the nature in its most luxuriant green, truly represented within the large garden on which overlooks the dining room. The neutrality of colors, furnishings and materials has been studied carefully because all the attention could be focused on the food.
