The Metropole Parasol is a project of the architect J. Mayer H. born to redesign the Plaza de la Encarnation and to become a new icon of the city of Seville. The structure of wood, covered with polyurethane, is one of the largest ever built. His characters extremely contemporary, contrast sharply to the identity of the historical center, giving the city an urban accent.
The project, created with the intention of reviving the square and to establish itself as a cultural center for tourists and locals alike, involves the construction of an archaeological museum, an elevated plaza, a market and numerous bars and restaurants.
