The Museum of Contemporary Art Inhotim Brumadinho located in Brazil was founded by the will of the former mining magnate Bernardo Paz and the realization of this place is due in part to the work of the famous artist Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.

The structure consists of a giant botanical garden, which is a kind of living library for the enormous amount of plants that contains, inside of which were built a dozen pavilions offering exhibitions of the most famous Brazilian and international artists such as Helio Oiticica , Anish Kapoor and Vik Muniz.

An area of the museum is also dedicated to the plastic artist Adriana Varejao, a prominent figure in the international art scene and ex wife of the founder of the museum Bernardo Paz. Currently Inhotim is the greatest example of open-air museum in the world, more than five hundred works of hundreds of international artists are hidden among the dense vegetation of this eclectic environment. The project is constantly expanding and shows boundless and visionary ambition: Inhotim will be completed with hotels, shops, theaters and libraries in an attempt to become a must for those who want to visit Brazil, where tourists can stay for a couple of weeks.
