The London Edition is the latest novelty field of of boutique and lifestyle hotel. The project is a collaboration between Yabu Pushelberg, the hotelier Ian Schrager and Marriott International group. The building, which is located in Fitzrovia, central district of the British capital, is a typical example of a Georgian house, where you can breathe the atmosphere of the Belle Epoque.

Some key elements of the structure, such as large windows and marble floors have been retained during the renovation. The interior design is extremely eclectic, ranging from rustic to formal and mixes black metal elements of Christian Liaigre, lamps of Salvador Dali and wooden chairs in the spirit of Donald Judd.

Ian Shrager openly declares that the ecletismo that characterizes this project, but we would not expect from hotelier, is inspired by a biography of Thomas Jefferson and in particular to the description of his home in Monticello and what he had collected in the course of life: personal and unique objects coming from unexpected places juxtaposed in improbable combinations that have worked together to build the personality of the Third President of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence.
