Innovation, design and gourmet meet at 3000 meters. The refuge Ice-Q rises on the summit of the Gaislachkogl ski area of Sölden. The innovative project is the work of the study Bergbahnen Sölden of Innsbruck, which had already worked on the particular cable car that goes this mountain.
The Ice-Q come to life by a geometric structure is totally transparent, with four floors and equipped with a terrace with multimedia facilities for meetings and events. The local glass and steel used in the construction provide a great respect for the environment and the use of some special techniques of construction as the movable foundation designed to adapt to any change in temperature.
Sölden, the main center of the Ötztal, for some years is looking for projects that through modernity, design and luxury enhance its beautiful mountain scenery and the Ice-Q fits perfectly into this concept.
