The Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris hosts the largest Lucio Fontana retrospective ever organized in France, exposing approximately 20 works, including sculptures, drawings, ceramics and installations to trace the career of the great maestro.

Fontana was one of major exponents and theorists of spatial movement in Italy. Light and real space are the only two elements that constitute his works which with an unprecedented use of natural and artificial materials lead to a complete rethinking of contemporary art and traditional boundaries of painting and sculpture.

The exhibition is marked from the chronological adaptation and from the the main thematics and through an intense path tries to rebuild the enigmatic character of Lucio Fontana and analyzes all dimensions and facets that the artist wanted to represent through the undisputed king of his work: the cut.
