The work of Dávila raises the question about the limits of the instrumental values through the use of common materials used for the construction of sculptures objects and installations. More recently the artist has explored the photograph and the recording media to search for new perspectives of the artistic tradition.

The nature of the works of the artist appeals recurrently canons dictated by Minimalism, by Poor Art and the Vanguards of the twentieth century. His works have been exhibited in museums of international importance such as the Museo de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid and the MoMA in New York.
