The Taiyuan Changfen Museum is currently under construction according to the guidelines of the architect Preston Scott Choen, winner of the competition for the design of the building. The building is designed to fit perfectly into the surrounding environment, following pathways of continuity and discontinuity the external side, to give the visitor the feeling of cross it.
The dialogue between interior and exterior comes up again in the predisposition of the environments, the project provides the contrast between the enormity of the Fen River, river that flows here nearby, and the narrowness of the intimate inner places reserved to exposure. The exhibition spaces are modulated to accommodate large and chronological exhibitions or small and temporary expositions.
