Julie Hillman began his career as a fashion designer, but soon discovered his passion for furniture and interior. His style is characterized by the constant search for a match between ancient and modern masterpieces, such as the French furniture of the '40s and '70s and pieces of contemporary art balanced by precious materials such as leather and wood.

The designer's passion for the volumes, shapes and plasticity of the furniture gives rise to unique and inimitable environments tailored to the needs of each of its customers. The strongest element of its design is the ability in the inclusion of pieces in contrasting styles in the same room to create aesthetic uniformity.

The images show the great work done in collaboration between Julie Hillman and the architect David Abelow in an apartment in the Meat Packing District of New York. From the original loft have been preserved walls and iron columns of the early twentieth century, everything else has been redesigned and modified to create an urban environment elegant and eclectic at the same time.
