Glass as a mediation tool for the observation and meditation. This is the thread that can be found in all the works of Vaclav Cigler. The artist acquires fame in 1960, thanks to the cut of optical glass for the construction of geometric objects.
Another key factor for the art of Vaclav Cigler is the light by which creates games and contrasts, and that during his career leads him to search for ever new aestheticism. The concept is not that of a mere reflection of the light, The novelty is in exploring and study their interactions with the interior and exterior of the works.

Vaclav Cigler soon arrived to the introduction of new materials in his works and the creation of increasingly larger sizes, up to those dedicated to urban and natural environments.
